Men In The Piazza

This is the main Piazza Duomo in Pietrasanta, the lovely town which is the sculpture end of the Carrara Marble region in north west Tuscany. It is used regularly as an outdoor gallery to exhibit the current work being produced by the local marble studios and bronze foundries. This sculpture of the lone man in the piazza is by the Belgian artist Jean Michel Folon. I love his work. This solitary figure is very typical of his sculptures, and I just needed to include it in a painting.
