THE STUDIO / GALLERY
We have decided to make a few changes to the way we operate. We are discontinuing our regular Sunday opening of our Maleny Studio / Gallery. We will still be happy to open at any time if you would like to visit, but having said that, we will not be available at all for the next six weeks, as we will be in Italy.
PAINTINGS
I have deliberately not painted any new works since last November, and the break has been very refreshing. Now we are having a look at Italy again, with the idea of introducing some refreshing changes into my work.
On this trip I am looking in depth at the Amalfi Coast. I have have been there several times, but have only painted a few works from there, so I hope to return with some new work and ideas.
I have also made some changes to a painting I had entered in the Tattersalls Art Prize a couple of years ago. From time to time I will re-visit a painting and decide to make some changes. On reflection, I thought "A Country House" was a bit too green, and looked somewhat depressing, so it has now become less green, a little brighter, and has attracted a couple of figures. I think now it is much better.

SCULPTURES
I have also begun to have some of my sculptures cast here in Australia. "Trusting" has just been cast at Phillip Piperides Foundry in Brisbane, and they have done a beautiful job. "Trusting" has been one of my most popular pieces, and this casting has been bought by very happy clients in Melbourne. I am now in the process of having another 2 more cast, and they will be available in late June.
