The granite boulders in Girraween National Park have a curious fascination for me. Just south of Stanthorpe in Queensland, this place has a very particular energy which draws me back. I don't usually paint the things that are obvious tourist attractions, but this rock arch is quite stunning, and captured my attention. Over the years I have done several paintings from there, and each time I go I find more interesting subjects.
