San Gimignano is the most famous of all the Tuscan hill towns. Quite beautiful and full of mystery, it was our base for eight years, from 1991 until buying our own property. This door sparked my interest on my very first visit. I was struck by its rhythmic design, lovely abstract quality and beautiful patina, but it took me until recently to actually paint it.
